You have my problem. I install a computer with Ubuntu for friends who 
want internet but they have a Rockwell modem 56K.
The only package who exist for this modem it 's the package a 
www.linexant.com but to have the full version you have to pay 15 dollars.
I want to buy a new modem 56K but I don't know which I can use with no 
problem with Ubuntu.

You can try if you want the beta version of this package that someone 
send to me in Ubuntu-fr list. I have a problem with this package because 
I can't configure Lebanon for the country.
