Hi,

Before I file a bug report, I'd like to do a reality check on this list
for my problem (or for me :) The problem is that I don't seem to be able
to set tabulator stops in OpenOffice. I've been browsing the menus for a
half an hour now and havent found a way to set them.

I haven't been using OpenOffice for a guite long time, but I'm sure I
have succeeded in using such a basic feature before. I now I should be
able to do this either by clicking the ruler with mouse or - as it says
in the manual - by choosing FORMAT - PARAGRAPH - TABS and doing the
needed settings. The problem is that how ever I click the ruler, with
what ever button, no tab stop appears. If I double click it, I get the
Paragraph-window, which has four tabs: Indents & Spacing, Alignment,
Numbering, Bordes - but now Tabs tab, which also should be there
according to the manual. If I click the ruler with the right mouse
button, I get a list of available ruler scales:
Millimeter
Centimeter
Meter
Kilometer
Inch
Foot
Miles
Point
Pica
On the left side of the ruler there should be a litte square with a
symbol for the current tab stop type. This square is not visible in my
OpenOffice setting, although the ruler is there. I think the square
should be there in a default setting, which I have. If it's hidden
somehow, it's not apparent in any way and I haven't found any trick to
get it there.

Well, this was my problem. If the solution is something so simple that
"even a child knows it", I'm going to grab a club and aim to my
forehead :-) Many thank's for any anwsers in forhand.

P.S. I searched Ubuntu and OpenOffice buglists for this, but didn't find
any similar reports.
