Windows networking

And another problem from my side ;)

I installed the Samba package as I couldn't access my shares on the
winXP boxes in my network. Then I enabled Windows networking in the
"Network Settings". All worked fine.

Now, I want to disable windows networking in the network settings.
Working fine, too. But after a reboot those settings are gone and win
networking is enabled again (although it does not change my settings for
"Description" and "Domain / Workgroup". However, the network profile
changes, too, back to unknown (I saved one profile and used it).

It seems to me that Ubuntu got a problem with saving settings, or do I
just miss something?

thanks
chrisotph
