Partitioning During Install

Hi,

I was trying to install Ubuntu on my main PC last
night. That PC currently dual-boots windows XP and
Slackware 10 flawlessly. When i tried to install
Ubuntu, the installer didn't detect my slackware
partition or any partitions for that matter. It seems
like the only solution would be to format the entire
drive, which is not an option.

In the command line, i was able to run cfdisk
(something like 'cfdisk
/dev/ide/bus0/lun/target0/disc'), but the installer
doesn't seem to look for that.

Am i missing something here?
