PPC installer hanging on iMac

Adding more memory seems to have fixed my problems. Ubuntu installed
without any problems after I tried installing with 160MB of RAM on the
iMac.

I noticed that Ubuntu 'feel's a lot slower than Yellowdog 3.01 - is
this just because GNOME 2.8 is a lot more resource intensive than
GNOME 2.2? I haven't really poked around to see what's causing the
slowdown.
