I'm no network expert, but because the problems seem to be sporadic,
could it be related to some hardware routers/firewalls that might not
understand ipv6? My hardware in this situation runs Linux (Slackware,
soon to be Ubuntu) which I configure myself, so I haven't run into
this problem. I know a lot of this kind of hardware uses Linux
(embedded or otherwise) which I assume needs to be an older, maybe
more stable version, and perhaps the ipv6 stuff is confusing it.
Ok. I've said "maybe" enough for tonight. I'll shut up and stop making
guesses now. :-)
