 Well I have a Presario 2105 that may be similar, but my battery life is
pretty close to what it got under Windows.

Is your processor fan always on? Frequency scaling working? Any other
signs of anything that would drain power that quickly?

I have yet to get hibernation or standby to work at all either, with
similar results to yours. The wonky ACPI in this machine is enough to
make me scream sometimes.

IIRC there are a few settings you can adjust to change the
speed/sensitivity of the touchpad. I don't recall exactly what, but
Google should be able to help you out.
