Package: iperf
Version: 1.7.0-1
Severity: grave
Justification: renders package unusable
If I try to run iperf as a client, there seems to be a connection
established with the server, but no data is ever transferred:
$ iperf -c localhost
------------------------------------------------------------
Client connecting to localhost, TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 49.7 KByte (default)
------------------------------------------------------------
The program hangs here, and if I break it (ctrl-c), the server reports
this:
$ iperf -s
------------------------------------------------------------
Server listening on TCP port 5001
TCP window size: 85.3 KByte (default)
------------------------------------------------------------
[ 6] local 127.0.0.1 port 5001 connected with 127.0.0.1 port 36870
[ ID] Interval Transfer Bandwidth
[ 6] 0.0-11.6 sec 0.00 Bytes 0.00 bits/sec
This problem does not exist using the Debian Unstable version of iperf
