hi,

I try to install ubuntu on my pc and i have a error just after the first
reboot (the first stage: boot and copy from cd seems to be right)

so i have this error when i boot the first time on my hd, just after the
message
 >"Starting hotplug subsystem ..." the error is:
 > "modprobe: FATAL: Error inserting pciehp
(/lib/modules/2.6.8.1-3-386/kernel/drivers/pci/hotplug/pciehp.ko):
Operation not permitted"

This msg appears one or two time and after the computer is blocked.

I have choose a standard install (one partition, language us, keybord fr)
My computer is a barebone MSF MegaPC (Intel P4 processor, 512 Mo, 80Go
hd, additionnal ATI TV card
, additonal TV WinTV tuner)

PS: at the beginning of boot, i have another msg without blocking: just
under "Uncompressing linux... Ok, booting the kernel" the msg is:
"PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 4 of device 000:00:02.1"

maybe it's a pb with my dvd reader (a pionner DVD reader?writer 4x)

anyhelp is welcome

Thx
Christophe
