there is probably an online archive that doesnt strip your address from
the mail (i know it is done by the official mailman archives of this
list, but dont know about the forums or gmane)
such archives are read by robots/spiders that collect the addresses for
spamming companys.
there are plenty of spamfilters for evolution in ubuntu (spamassasin,
bogofilter etc) to save you from viagra ;)
