Ubuntu..finally an answer

I have spent the past 3 weeks installing, uninstalling - trying live
distros to desperatly get away from Windows. i kid you not when i look
at the stack of cd's i have burned, ive gone through a good 16 Linux ect
OS's. Im no pc whiz and am a non-Windows newbie, but i gotta say, this
is the 1rst distro i have used for more than a day and not threatened my
computer with a hammer in frustration. 
now - im posting because i see many trying to upgrade to the upcoming
release of Hoary prior to the stable version and im nervous about what
im reading....i think ill wait it out instead of trying a few new
packages and risk breakage - 
opinions?
