Uninstall Ubuntu

I have a fiend who has been unable to run ubuntu as a stable distro He
installed Warty (several times) from the mailed out distro. His machine will
"hang" at irregular intervals where the mouse quits responding and only his
numlock key appears to work. He has to power down his machine to get back to
Windows/Ubuntu.

He now wishes to remove Ubuntu completely and repair his boot sector so it
no longer dual boots. Is there a defined proceedure for such?

Thanks in advance. Ubuntu works for me on several different machines of
varying capabilies and I have no complaints.

Philip
