The version of meld available in Hoary has some problems with python
2.4. The toolbar doesn't appear and the following warning is issued:
/usr/lib/meld/gnomeglade.py:46: GtkWarning: gtk_label_set_use_underline: assertion `GTK_IS_LABEL (label)' failed
self.xml = gtk.glade.XML(file, root, gettext.textdomain() )

The previous version used to work fine with python 2.3.
