hi, this is a question emerged after testing 2.6.10:

history: this is a AsusA7nv266-vm, chipset nforce2, when i installed ubuntu,
usb didn't work. I was using debian before and i knew that any kernel from
any distro since 2.6.7 untill 2.6.9 has problem with usb when plugged:

usb 2-3: control timeout on ep0out
ohci_hcd 0000:00:03.0: Unlink after no-IRQ? Different ACPI or APIC
settings may help.
(seems it only happens to me in the whole world)

temporary solution: i'm stuck with 2.6.6

2.6.10: i uncompressed it, copy the config-2.6.8-1-386 to .config and
compiled the kernel. when i plug a pendrive, gnome doesn't mount it
automatically, but i can mount it manually.

Also, dmesg and lshal look different with 2.6.10 v/s 2.6.6...

- Can i say that the prolblem with usb is solved and now it's only problem
of hal/gnome?

thanks in advance.
