well so.. i think that one with reasonable good education won't say 
"merry christmas" at all, since you don't even know when it's christmas, 
and considering that the legal time was not introduced in 0th AD... but 
"a few yrs later"... and they didn't use the gregorian calendar, it's 
"scientifically" uncorrect to consider Christmas, the 25th of 
December... ;-)

so, even if i hate this sentence, "It's Christmas time, everybody'd be 
kinder at Christmas..."[it should be nice, for Hoary, to extend this law 
to the whole year ;)]: let's not debate about ppl's education, just 
share the knowledge and give/ourself them the possibility to learn what 
they don't know and teach what they do.
