Posting to the list without being subscribed

Hello,

I am currently following this list through gmane.org, and I can happily post
messages using the news->mail gateway. But if I try to use reportbug, my
email(s) get held until moderator's approval.

Is there any way to become "known" to the mailing list and being allowed to
post without being subscribed? I am thinking of something like Debian's
whitelist http://lists.debian.org/whitelist/
