Standard HP cable (the cheapskates just put a cable in the deal, no
cradle) for this model - USB connector on the one end, proprietary HP
connector on the other. The same connector also serves to charge the
battery - it will NOT charge from USB. Works pefectly with ActiveSync
FWIW.

Hmm, I wonder if  Windows 9x running inside QEMU would see USB ports 
at all - it's worth a shot.
