Sorry for taking so long to respond...
I referred to the drivers in gimp-print ofcourse, since gimp-print has
a lot of drivers, some of them are for epson printers.

As for the other question, i don't know the lexmark printer but
sometimes "generic" printers can work. I've recently installed a Xerox
Phaser 3121 as a GDI printer since i didn't want to mess with the
installation too much. They have an install CD which installs a lot of
software that seems problematic, and didn't really work, so i just
tried  the generic printer driver without any help from the
installation CD and it works perfectly.
