At first glance, this seems to be a normal linux file system behavior,
you can't delete what your user doesn't have rights to delete.

Could you please tell me how the files in your home directory got there
and don't have the proper permissions for you to delete them? Anything
you put there, you should be able to delete, assuming you haven't
manually changed the permissions or ownership.

Sure, you can delete anything and everything as root. Go to
Applications, than Run, and type "gksudo nautilus" (no quotes). This
will open a nautilus session as the root user, allowing you to delete
anything and everything you want.

Be careful!
