Epson Stylus Color C 70

Hello,

after searching the mail archives again I found at least two people
struggling to get their Epson C42UX and C 64 working.
I also tried to get my printer perfectly supported (linuxprinting.org)
working in vain!
I configured my printer via system configuration-> printer (add
printer), jobs are seemingly spooled fine and the printer pretends to
work normally. Suprisingly printing testpages from config-gui works (low
qualtiy though), every trial to print from OO-1.1.2 or LyX-1.3.4 and
other applications fails. Precisely that is, no text etc. appears on
printed pages!

Did you guys, Giorgio Lazzari and Michael Hauck manage to get your
printers working (I noticed your threads in archive!)? 
Any ideas?
