Make sure you get Apple's Apple Care Warrantee before your year is up.
Most people never use it, but, once you have a lemon there's a good
chance you'll always have a lemon. A friend of mine had his iCrap die
on him three weeks before his warantee ran out -- he bought extended
warantee and used it again, two months before it ran out... well worth
the investment for him. Me on the otherhand, I've owned over a dozen
Macs (all used) over the years and not one has had even the slightest
Apple-related problem (once a HD died but it wasn't Apple issue in the
first place).
