Permission denied even as root !

That's interesting - I've got a file called -/bin/sh-, which is a
symbolic link to -/bin/bash-. What's the first line of the installer.sh
file? I'd expect:

    #!/bin/sh
--------------------

FWIW, I use:

    #!/bin/bash
--------------------

at the top of my own shell scripts and haven't hit any problems.
