Ultra-SCSI help needed

I am in a similiar situation I have a aic7xxx looks okay except no nts0
or tape stuff in /dev.  I do see the stuff in /.dev (not sure what this
is for - first debian based distro I have used)

I have updated the /etc/modules to include the sg also (no change)
