Install Windows (dual-boot) after a default Ubuntu install - Possible?

It is, but soon come your Window$ partition will either be self-harming
or infected.
Why don't you just install the w32codecs package via synaptic? This way
you could play windows media files without having microsoft partying
with your ***!
Search http://ubuntuguide.org/index.html for the phrase 'w32codes' and
you will also find various other helpful UbuntuLinux solutions on that
page.
The Ubuntu wiki also has a HOWTO page for expanding the multimedia
capabilities of UbuntuLinux.
