Xfree 4.3 on an old CHIPS-F65554 graphic card

I've upgrade my old notebook to hoary in order to get Xorg,
unfortunately the problem persists and my system freezes completely each
time I start X.

I neither have X log files due to the complete system freeze.
Any ideas how to debug this problem?
