| Hello everyone,
| I'm thinking of buying a Dell Inspiron 8600 laptop. Specs as follows:

| Geforce2go FX 5200 64MB
| 15.4" WUXGA (1920x1200)

The 1920x1200 display works a treat - it is just a matter of setting the
screen resolution to 144dpi using the fonts system control panel. I have
a similar machine (I have the 128MB ATI Radeon 9600 graphics card), and
there is no need to do any special setup - it all just worked. There are
some problems in Warty, particularly that if you shut the lid the
machine locks. This is fixed in Hoary. Suspend to RAM is not yet
working. The volume and 'multimedia' keys can happily be mapped and work
fine.
