Apple Mac : what model for Ubuntu ?

Vince,
Stay away from anything Beige in the Mac world. They are classified
as "Old World" and you'll have some major hoop-jumping to get Ubuntu
working on one. Pick yourself up an early iMac or a Blue & White G3
or better.
Trust me.
