We have some schools in Kinshasa, where we are running Redhat 9
installed with Slinky from the Rule Project
(http://www.rule-project.org). Now we are looking for an upgrade, and
therefore I evaluated also Ubuntu.

I have the problem, thet on even PIII with 128 MB RAM Ubuntu is
incredible slow. I already tried to replace Gnome with iceWM and xfce4 -
its better bvut still too slow, since in kinshasa we have only PII with
64 Mb RAM.

Did you succeed in installing it on such HW?!

TIA for any comments on this - Ingo.
