It didn't back then, but that's what i'd expect from a drag-'n-drop
aware application of the 21st century.

No, unfortunately not - my reason for not buying a new powerbook.
I use a desktop G4 with trackball and iNavigator keyboard from Logitech.
works without a flaw, and the scrollwheel on the keyboard is rather
convenient for text related work (docu reading and coding).
