-menus or kdelibs-data broken?

I'm trying to update Hoary and get this in synaptic:

Unpacking gnome-menus
(from .../gnome-menus_2.9.2cvs041212-0ubuntu1_i386.deb) ...
dpkg: error
processing /var/cache/apt/archives/gnome-menus_2.9.2cvs041212-0ubuntu1_i386.deb (--unpack):
 trying to overwrite `/etc/xdg/menus/applications.menu', which is also
in package kdelibs-data

I tried Edit->Fix broken packages, but no joy. I thought about removing
either it or kdelibs-data, but both look pretty foundational.

What am I missing here?
