Hello,

I am using Acer WL100 and it is working fine right out of the box in
Ubuntu both stable (warty) and unstable (hoary)
It uses the orinocco driver.

Acer WL200 on the otherehand doesn't work right out of the box
(atheros based chipset). with warty you can use the ndis driverrs with
ndiswrapper. or you can try the madwifi drivers from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi/
(you have to compile from cvs or a cvs-snapshot, no binary distribution)
ndiswrapper doesn't work for horay list time i tried.

But WL200 is a worthless card, i recomend to get anotherone. very bad
signalstrenght, you have to sit next to the wlan router to get any
good connection. the same bad result both with ndis driver and madwifi
driver.

to configure, use the network configruation tool, chose Add, chose
wireless, next, then chose your wirelessinterface from the list (if it
is the only etherncard on the computer it is eth0), then add ESSID
(wlan routers networkname) and WEP key (if any), then chose if you
have use dhcp or static ip.
you can add different profiles if you use your wireless card on
different netwoks.

not sure this helps any.
