This can be configured in your sshd configuration. Check out the files in
/etc/ssh, they're larded with comments...

This shouldn't be done in your menu.lst, but in your /etc/rc2.d look for a
file called Sxxgdm. This is the startup-script that starts your
displaymanager. Removing it (it's a symlink), or changing it's name to
Kxxgdm will do the trick.
