Sound playback : timing is off !

That's interesting.
Sadly it doesn't look, well, sound ;-), like my problem :o(
Hopefully though, assuming the problem comes from some Gnome library, it
may evenutally cure itself in hoary, as I guess the new Gnome will come
with a bunch of updated libraries of all kinds.
