problem with find file utility

hi, again, everyone...

i have a weird problem that just started today; when i select find files from
 Applications > Accessories > Find Files

i get an error box stating:

Error
Cannot launch entry
Details: not a launchable item

any ideas what could be causing this? i went to synaptic and
reinstalled the find files utilities, already, too, but it has done
nothing.
