Lovely, always wanted to see something like this.

Can we contribute to this guide ?

For example, I can't see anything about getting various kinfs of ZIP
drives to work. There is nothing in the Wiki or anywhere.
Had to search the web and experiment to get all my drives working.
I am sorted now of course, but I guess it could help future Ubuntu
users. That said, maybe ZIP drives will be trouble free with Hoary, but
there certainly aren't with Warty.

Your guide is really great. I think that it should be included in every
stable release of Ubuntu. Say for example, when Ubuntu has just finished
installing and start for the first time, you should have a PDF file of
your guide, with a big icon in the middle of the desktop/screen that
links to it. Something people can't miss.

You should talk to Ubuntu people about that...
