hoary kernel in warty

Hi all,
Just curious,
Has the kernel config etc changed much for hoary? I would like an
ubuntu 2.6.9 kernel for my warty laptop as 2.6.9 adds cpufreq support
for my Dothan CPU. Plus, by using an ubuntu kernel image I imagine I
will still get extra stuff like ipw2200 modules, and any relevant
patches and config options that ubuntu depends upon.

Is there any harm in downloading just the linux-image-2.6.9-*.deb from
hoary and installing it with dpkg in warty?
