How to get X11 on imac dv?

Hi there.

I have just installed ubuntu (warty release) onto an imac dv (summer 
2000). However, I get a shell only, and no X11. At no stage in the 
install did I get any indication of any problems, or any graphics 
options selection for that matter.

Does anyone on this list know what the problem and/or fix could be?
