Yes i suspect it is as you say.

ok. However I am checking the OSX disk utility and doesnt look like it
will allow me to change the file system of a single partition. It seems
that it wants me to repartition (and erase!!!) the whole hardrive. Then
i would be back to square 1 having to install OSX, ubuntu and tansfer
all my stuff between the external HD and the laptop .............
jeeeeesus .. there must be some simpler way to do it. I remember when i
used windows there was partition magic that would allow to do things
like this in a very easy way. Is there anything like that i could use? i
know thre is some mac software but its payware.
somebody should solve this. It would be the third time in 4 days that i
erase everything. Its becomming very anoying. On the other hand i havent
managed yet to connect to the net with my modem. I read the HOWTO about
this and followed all the steps but i am not sure what its wrong. It
just doesnt do anything. I wonder it this is because of the name of the
device (like com1, com2 but for linux .. this tts1 thinggy) maybe i
didnt select the right one, but could i know which one in my modem on a
powerbook?
thanks once again
