Can't burn CDs from Nautilus.

I think you're on the right track with this thinking. I know there are
CD drives (both read and write) that need to use, or work better when
you use SCSI emulation. Perhaps your system was autoconfigured like
that - so the high level tools are looking for a SCSI drive.

Sorry I can't offer specifics. My drive has always "just worked", so I
haven't researched the issue much. I've only seen IDE/SCSI type issues
mentioned on the list and elsewhere concerning Linux.

I have a feeling everybody (developers and users) are busy packing and
traveling to the conference - which would explain the light traffic on
the list right now. :)
