Nuke my Gentoo, Fedora for Ubuntu?

I use a few different windowmangers, fvwm, fluxbox. I get to them by
removing 'gdm'   (gdm is the graphical logon manager). Without gdm
you'll just boot to the terminal. From there I type
'xinit /usr/bin/fluxbox'   or xinit /usr/bin/gnome-session' to start
gnome, etc, etc... This is how I do it anyway.
