Can't burn CDs from Nautilus.

I am very new to Ubuntu having been a Windows user of many years until
about 6 weeks ago. I also have the same problem in trying to save to a
CD Rom. I was informed, when looking at the properties of the CD Rom in
'Disks', that 'You are not the owner'. If I am not the owner who is? I
ask because only the owner appears to be able to write to disc.
