I have had similar problem with usb palm connections. My problem is
that sometimes it shows up as /dev/ttyUSB0, other times it has variously
shown up as /dev/ttyUSB1, /dev/ttyUSB2 and /dev/ttyUSB3. Makes it so
that I have to reconfigure every time I have to connect. Not a good
implementation.
