I would like to use the latest Kroller
http://caspian.dotconf.net/menu/Software/Kroller/
version 0.94 without luck.
I always got this: http://feczo.nmi.rulez.org/pub/kroll.png
The problem is (If its not clear from the picture), that
the black area should be brown, or transparent or whatever
as the background, but you probably guessed it.
I got the same problem with similar themes, like
Tuxbar or Tuxbar smooth, so probably not the theme is the problem.
I spent nearly all my yesterday, and today to fix this somehow.
I was vividly searching with google, and got some hints, like
this one
http://www.kde-look.org/content/show.php?content=7126
so I did what gimpel wrote .. same result ...
I searched forward and got this detailed discussion about the problem
http://sourceforge.net/forum/forum.php?thread_id=969482&forum_id=67470
I have downloaded the patched version 0.33a skaramba, recompiled,
same thing ...
Ok I have downloaded v0.35 skaramba ... compile .. same ...
I though maybe kde is wrong I was using
kdelibs_4 3a3.2.3-2ubuntu1
kdelibs-bin_4 3a3.2.3-2ubuntu1
kdelibs4 4 3a3.2.3 2ubuntu1
kdelibs-data_4% a3.2.3 2ubuntu1_all
so I went to kde.org grabbed, the
041130 snapshot from cvs, and compiled it all day
(it is a celeron 1000mhz machine )
got rid of the packed kde, and installed it from source,
deleted superkaramba, and extracted compiled from clean
source again
I have tried with 0.33a and 0.35 as well
Guess what ? No its not working properly
Im using Ubuntu 4.10 with default kernel 2.6.8.1
but it shouldn't matter. Openbox windowmanager,
but I think it also doesn't matter, I have tried
with fluxbox, xfce4 as well and produced the same
Please give me a hint what to do Im out of ideas and
tired of compilations ...
Otherwise the kickbar is awesome and runs smoothly on
this old crap, but this black-border thing is anoying :(
