UBUNTU: VPN: Seeking advice

Greetings!

I am a new Ubuntu user, getting to know the ropes, and finding great joy so far.
I am currently a PC user and a Mac user, and I find joys and woes in
both operating systems.

I believe I could be won over by Ubuntu, at least as a pleasant
alternative, but for one thing -- setting up VPN access to my
company's network!

I currently use IPSECURITAS on the Mac, and it works beautifully.

I don't have access to the VPN server itself, so I need to work
without the ability to change any parameters.

Does anyone out there have experience with setting VPN up in Ubuntu?
What are the best clients?
