No it is not just you, this list has been quiet for awhile now and a few new 
people just found it is all.  It is for the Ubuntu folk and promoters from 
Washington.  However, events happen on the east side also.  Walla Walla has 
three large colleges, Tri-cities has one, Spokane/Cheney area has a few, 
Pullman has one and Clarkston, plus there are local groups in most of the 
towns in between.  As for blogging, I don't like it much so wouldn't be found 
there.  Maillists tend to be a little confusing as to who said what to whom, 
especially when you get someone who top-posts and trims poorly, but all in 
all you can get great amounts of information from one on just about any 
problem.  You soon get to know people and their value.  You may have to sift 
a bit but panning for gold is the same and wouldn't even be fun without the 
sifting!!  There always is some flash in the pan.
