When you open System-> Preferences-> Display using the nvidia drivers
it displays a popup then runs nvidia-settings, so that's what I was
using.

This worked by the way:

    Option         "TwinViewXineramaInfoOrder" "CRT-0, DFP-2, DFP-0, TV"
    Option         "metamodes" "CRT-0: 1680x1050, DFP-2: 1680x1050"
