ccurley at dragon:~$ ll /etc/dbus-1/event.d/
total 20
drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 2007-10-23 11:02 .
drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 4096 2007-10-23 11:01 ..
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1766 2007-10-15 12:43 25NetworkManager
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1684 2007-10-15 12:43 26NetworkManagerDispatcher
-rwxr-xr-x 1 root root 1892 2007-09-17 10:01 70system-tools-backends
Yup. So
/etc/dbus-1/event.d/25NetworkManager [start|stop]
should work for the OP. (I can't test right now, as I'm doing other
things that require the network.)
Thanks
