Very nice. Thanks.

It worked nicely for Adobe Reader (nee acroread ) and for
libdvdcss. The mediabuntu acroread package requires gcc-3.3-base and
libstdc++5, a library. apt-get won't let me remove the compiler. Totem
had problems manipulating a DVD, so I installed xine, which works.

Christer, I recommend you suggest this instead of updating the old
method. It should be a short tutorial.
