I've been extremely impressed with Maxell's noise cancelling headphones.

I got mine at Walmart for about $35, though I haven't seen them there
since.  Maxell makes a couple more models (links within page, or link
below), and has a link for where to buy / store locator, but it apparently
can't find stores in the SLC area.  I suppose you could also look on online
retailers.
