Hi Christer,

After attending my first Ubuntu meeting, I can tell that most of you
are working at a very high level. I have been using SSH for many
years and have been tunneling data for for the last 3 years. Key
pair encryption and tunneling through local ports is complex stuff for
people who don't understand TCP ports and forwarding. Even after all
these years you showed me a few thing I had not seen before. When I
work with other people I always see new techniques. I have been
moving public keys around with sftp. I did not know there was an ssh-
copy command.

As I attend more meetings I hope to find some way of helping the
Linux movement more then I have. For now I will be able to help
beginners if needed. I can teach shell etc for those who need a jump
start.

  ----------

Tough issues we face.

Yesterday I interviewed with a company for a PHP/MYSQL job. This shop
does it's job with LAMP. Like so many places I have seen, management
wants to move them to windows server and SQL server with .NET over the
next few years. How Windows server can be a 50 billion dollar market
when it is such low quality is a mystery. Sometimes I just don't get
it.
